Mixed Berries and Banana BCAAs Smoothie Recipe
August 23, 2016
Did you know that berries are a fantastic antioxidant? That’s right, the sweet, delicious fruits in cobblers, pies and parfaits are super healthy and help fight disease. One cup of berries alone has all the antioxidants you’ll need in an entire day. Scientists believe antioxidants help prevent and repair the stress that comes with cell oxidation, which leads to free radicals. In turn, unchecked free radicals have been linked to cancer, heart disease, Alzheimer’s disease and Parkinson’s.
BPI Sports resident Chef Geo created a a delicious BCAAs smoothie with three types of berries to maximize the repairing effects. BPI Sports’ Best BCAA™ is a formula of bonded chain of amino acids that promotes faster recovery and preserves lean muscle mass. Best BCAA™ supports the decrease of protein catabolism thanks to an oligopeptide technology that acts as a better transport vehicle for faster absorption and recovery. Chef Geo’s Greek yogurt-based BCAAs Smoothie also packs a great amount of protein to further the repairing benefits. The ingredients are easy to find and the smoothie recipe is even easier to follow. Enjoy!
- 1 scoop BPI Sports Best BCAA™ in Peach Cobbler flavor
- 1/4 cup Greek yogurt
- 1/3 cup almond milk
- 1/4 cup of blackberries
- 1/4 cup of blueberries
- 1/4 cup of raspberries
- 1/2 ripe banana
- 2 Tbsp. of Walden Farms Blueberry syrup OR 10 drops of liquid Stevia
Simply blend all of the ingredients together until smooth, pour into a glass, and top with more berries for decor and taste.
