BPI Brand Ambassador, Christina Sullivan shares her easy recipe for a bowl of delicious chili that’s rich in protein.
Makes 8 servings.
Ingredients:
- Trader Joe’s Organic Greek Yogurt
- 2 lbs of lean ground beef
- 2 cans of Trader Joe’s Organic Kidney Beans
- 1 can of Trader Joe’s Organic Tomato Sauce (14oz)
- 1 can of Trader Joe’s Unsalted Crushed Plum Tomatoes (28oz)
- 1 cup of chopped onions
- 2 tbsp. of Badia Chili
- 1 tbsp. of Badia Cumin
- 1 tbsp. of McCormick Paprika
- 1 tsp. of Trader Joe’s Garlic Salt
- Trader Joe’s Lite Shredded 3 Cheese Blend
- Ritz Whole Wheat Crackers
- 1 tsp. of garlic salt
- 1 tbsp. of McCormick Paprika
Equipment:
- Crockpot
Directions:
- Take the ground beef and brown it in a stir-fry pan.
- Once your meat is completely cooked and brown, place it inside the crockpot.
- Add the following ingredients to the crockpot: Trader Joe’s Organic Kidney Beans, Trader Joe’s Organic Tomato Sauce, Trader Joe’s Unsalted Crushed Plum Tomatoes, and chopped onions. Stir concoction for consistency.
- Add the following seasonings: Badia Chili, Badia Cumin, McCormick Paprika, and Trader Joe’s Garlic Salt. Stir mixture for consistency.
- Cook on high between four to six hours on low.
- Once the chili is cooked, remove it from crockpot and serve it in a bowl.
- Top your chili with your favorite toppings such as Trader Joe’s Lite Shredded 3 Cheese Blend and Organic Greek Yogurt .

- Turn on the scale so it reads zero with the bowl on the scale.
- Put your scale on grams.
- Pour chili in the bowl.
- Divide the weight by 8. This will give you the weight in grams for each serving.
