Although the New Year is generally the catalyst for people’s weight loss journey, the summer months are equally motivating thanks to the need for a swimsuit. If you are trying to slim down for a tropical vacation, or simply to feel more comfortable in your own skin, you’ve probably found a million and one tips for losing weight. But how do you know which information is trustworthy, and which is just a trend?
We asked Team BPI for their go-to weight loss tips to help guide you on your way.
India Paulino: Stay hydrated!
You will hold on to more water weight if you aren’t drinking enough water. Add your favorite flavor of CLA + Carnitine to your water and drinking it will be easier. If I’m craving something bubbly with dinner, I’ll add it to sparkling water!
Ainsley Rodriguez: Drink water on an empty stomach.
Drinking water is one of the best things you can do for your body! A lot of people might go straight for coffee or food as soon as they wake up, but it’s actually not the right thing to do. Get into the habit of drinking at least two glasses of water when you wake up. Do this before you brush your teeth so the water isn’t contaminated with fluoride, and then wait 30 minutes before having breakfast. You’ll be shocked how much more energy you have throughout the day with this simple hack.
Alex Davies: Add protein to your oatmeal.
Instead of flavoring your oatmeal with milk, honey, fruit or Nutella, try making it with boiling water and Best Protein™! One scoop makes a delicious breakfast without the sugars that cause insulin spikes and weight gain.
Chanel DeLisser: Control your portion sizes.
This simple change trains your stomach so that it shrinks in size, ultimately causing you to crave food less often in the healthiest way possible. By eating less, it also makes you feel full faster because now the feeling of satiety is initiated much sooner after eating.

Steven Cao: Incorporate cardio.
Start with 20 minutes a day, 4-5 times a week, and then increase it depending on how you feel. Cardio will help increase your metabolism, which will help you burn calories. It’s a simple tip, you just have to do the work!
Narmin Assria: Drink green tea.
Like coffee, green tea has many benefits, one of them being weight loss. Green tea contains small amounts of caffeine, but it is also loaded with powerful antioxidants called catechins, which are believed to work synergistically with caffeine to enhance fat burning!
Tyrone Bell: Don’t under eat!
For many, this will come as a shock. Reducing your daily calorie intake is often the initial course of action for people who want to drop weight. However, cutting too many calories from your diet can actually slow your metabolism down. To crank it up and keep it burning fat throughout the day, you need to supply your body with a steady supply of nutrient-dense foods.
