The squat is the king of all leg exercises when it comes to overall leg development. However the squat depends heavily on the strength of your back & core muscles to aid in the movement. To really engage the quads while not putting too much pressure on your back the leg press is a great option for mass building. Don’t worry about your foot position, focus on range of motion. Make sure your thighs are parallel with the foot platform and don’t hyper-extend your legs during the movement. 3 sets of 12 reps pushing heavy weight will get you the mass you’re looking for.
