Working on building your shoulders? In this video, Dr. Brett Osborn explains the right way to perform the overhead press, a staple upper body exercise.
Approach the bar and grasp it with an overhand grip, a little wider than shoulder width apart. Hold it chest high, right below your chin, to prepare to perform the movement. Inhale, contract your abs and press the bar overhead in a single, continuous movement. Slowly lower the bar back to the starting position, making sure to keep your elbows close to your body as it passes in front of your face.
