The Right Way to Squat - Dr. O's Five Pillar Exercises

August 2, 2017

The squat is a full-body pillar exercise, a movement that every training regimen should include. But what is the right way to squat? In this short video, Dr. Brett Osborn explains the correct form.

Approach the rack bar, placing it evenly across your posterior deltoids. Position your feet directly under the bar, slightly wider than shoulder-width apart and toes out at about a 20-degree angle. With an arched back and weight centered directly over your heels, sit back, lean forward slightly and shove your knees out to lower just below parallel.
